Welcome to the home of Codsall Community High School's Football Academy

Codsall Community High School is located in the small and rural village of Codsall, on the outskirts of Wolverhampton.

In April, 2009, the UK's first school based Football Academy was created at Codsall, running in conjunction with the nationally recognised BTEC National Diploma in Sport, equivalent to 3 A-Levels, plus an extra AS/A-Level of your choice.

The two-year course aims to cater for the 16-19 year age range and provides students with the opportunity to study for a nationally recognised qualification on weekday mornings and to train with the Football Academy squad every afternoon.

The Football Academy competes in the British College's Football League one afternoon per week. It also participates in the Staffordshire and West Midlands cup competitions as well as the English Schools National Cup.

Home fixtures are played on the main school pitch, reserved for Football Academy games only, and students have access to the excellent sports facilities at Codsall Leisure Centre, as part of their training programme.

Students will have opportunities to obtain additional nationally recognised qualifications throughout the course and develop their personal and social skills by interacting within the school and local community groups.

A multitude of post-school options are available to Football Academy students. Individually, they will be monitored and mentored closely, with a large emphasis being placed on their academic achievement, and receive sound careers advice.
